Background and ExperienceHobbies and Interests

Luke Breckenridge prides himself on framing his clients’ experiences in the manner most effective for their legal objectives. From delivering a novel argument for injunctive relief on behalf of a defrauded local business to explaining a foreign-owned subsidiary’s employment dispute through cultural norms to preparing a client for a deposition in a SEC criminal investigation, his goal is to ensure his client’s story is not only told accurately but is heard and is persuasive.

Luke began his practice at Sullivan & Worcester LLP in Boston, where he handled all stages of commercial litigation. His experience covered dispositive motion practice, evidentiary briefing, oral argument in state and federal courts, oversight of complex document review and production, and witness preparation for hearings and trial. He also founded and led the firm’s partnership with the New England Innocence Project, with which he and a team of attorneys and staff exhaustively investigated potential wrongful convictions.

Before joining GPMBF, Luke served as a law clerk to Senior U.S. District Judge John L. Kane of the District of Colorado. In that role, Luke supported the court in proceedings involving discovery disputes, evidentiary hearings, sentencings, and both bench and jury trials.

Luke earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School, where he served as a staff editor for the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest. Luke also worked as an intern in the U.S Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts in the Affirmative Civil Enforcement Unit.
